» Ergonomic Assessment
.................................................................................
Ergonomics can be defined as the process of matching the demands of the job with the capabilities – and limitations – of the employees who must do the work. While experience tells us that the use of improper equipment, an inadequate workstation setup, and inefficient work methods often results in lower productivity, numerous research studies suggest these same workplace conditions may be linked to the onset of cumulative trauma disorders.
Cascade’s Ergonomic Assessment Program is designed for office and at-home based employees. We will design a proposal for you which will be unique to your needs. Whether we perform one or 100 assessments at one location or in multiple states, you can be certain you will have centralized referral and distribution services while each assessment will be performed by qualified professionals in your geographical location. Imagine local services from a national company!
Ergonomic Assessment: A professional vocational consultant will assess the worker's job tasks, workflow, postures and frequency for risk factors and causes for discomfort. They will then produce a comprehensive assessment document outlining job tasks, workflow and postures with recommendations for appropriate modifications.
Outcome: A proper fit between the workstation and the employee which results in a decrease of awkward biomechanical postures and a change in work-related behaviors that will lead to decreased discomfort and increased productivity.
