Early Intervention: On-site Job Analysis provided soon after injury. Work with employer to identify modified or light duty return-to-work options. Coordinate communication with employer and physician. Work as part of team, returning the injured worker back to work more quickly, before full recovery.

Job Search / Development: Assist the injured worker with identifying current job openings and arranging interviews. As appropriate, counselor will accompany client to interviews to evaluate job seeking skills. Includes resume and cover letter preparation.

Ergonomic Assessment: Evaluate work environment including workstation and peripheral work locations in which employee performs essential and marginal job functions, with consideration given to involvement of medical condition. Provide recommendations for modifications of work process, physical functions, environment, equipment, etc.

Transitional Employment: Placement into a temporary work environment to help injured worker learn new job skills, regain self-confidence and obtain current work references, eventually evolving into return to permanent employment.

Labor Market Survey: A random sample of employers within the injured worker’s geographic area regarding current job availability, salary and requirements for positions

Vocational Assessment Interview: Document the injured worker’s transferable skills, educational background and vocational interests.

Expert Witness Testimony: Provide expert vocational testimony on employability, wage potential, job availability, education/training potential, SSDI eligibility, and other vocational issues.

Services in Canada: We provide vocational rehabilitation services across the province of Ontario. Our services include vocational and psycho-vocational evaluations, transferable skills analysis, labour market survey, worksite and ergonomic analysis, job search and recruitment program, and work placement/work hardening.

Impairment Rating Review: When a worker is injured, a doctor may assign an impairment rating, which determines whether the worker is eligible to receive benefits. However, it has been found that often these impairment ratings are incorrect. Cascade can review these impairment ratings and identify discrepancies quickly and efficiently, saving you money and possible further exposure on your claims.

On-Site Job Analysis: Evaluate work stations at an employer’s site according to job tasks and physical demands. Make recommendations, as necessary, for modifications and accommodations appropriate to the client’s physical capacities. Provide a written report of all findings. Videotaped job analyses are also available.

Transferable Skills Analysis: Analyze the injured worker’s employment history, test results and physical capabilities in order to identify alternative potential occupations.

On-the-Job Training (OJT): Establish contacts with employers for potential on-the-job training for the injured worker. Educate the prospective employer/trainer regarding specific incentives available for OJTs.
- Job Seeking Skills Training: Teach the injured worker how to: complete job applications, interview, respond to questions about disability and required time away from work, follow up on applications and resumes, and make cold calls to potential employers.
