Vocational Rehabilitation Services:
Document the injured worker’s transferable skills, educational background and vocational interests. Develop return to work programs, secure medical clearance for participation and provide onsite support to client and employer during the return to work program. Provide medical case management services.
Vocational and Psycho-vocational Evaluations:
Determination of appropriate vocational targets within client's labour market based on their unique employment and educational profile, as well as their demonstrated learning potential, aptitudes, academic achievement testing and interest as assessed through a vocational test battery. Testing available across Ontario with up to date and region specific labour market information being provided ensuring a realistic and highly defensible assessment.
Transferable Skills Analysis/Labour Market Survey:
Determination of appropriate vocational targets within client’s labour market based on their unique employment and educational profile. Includes up to date, and region specific labour market analysis providing a realistic and defensible TSA.
Worksite and Ergonomic Analysis:
Complete Worksite Analysis to determine essential and non-essential duties and to provide ergonomic, pacing or accommodation recommendations to facilitate a return to claimants’ pre-disability role or as a proactive first step in returning claimant to a new position. Worksite Analysis include complete Physical Demands Analysis and may also provide pacing strategies or task accommodation recommendation as part of a graduated return to work.
Results Oriented Job Search and Recruitment Program:
Program combines the core competencies of “how to” job search with the additional promotion of a business partnership between the client and Employment Specialist. Over 8-12 weeks the client and Employment Specialist develop a portfolio designed to fill Employer needs. Program emphasizes active recruitment, networking, multiple employer contacts (and follow up) and a rigorous job seeking schedule by both the claimant and Employment Specialist which contribute to the success of this joint venture program.
Work Placement (Unpaid)/Work Hardening:
Many claimants learn best by doing. Our 8-12 week Work Placement program offers each client the opportunity to gain experience, develop self-confidence and demonstrate their abilities to a potential employer. The employer has the opportunity to evaluate a potential new hire with little more than the investment of their time. In addition, the program serves to work harden the individual. Over 40% of clients engaging in these programs are offered employment by the Placement Employer.
